Jonathan Holds Top Secret Meeting With Few Loyal Governors

From what we gathered from credible sources in Abuja, President Goodluck Jonathan only has ten governors loyal to him on the platform of the PDP and he is said to be deeply troubled.

Consequently, Jonathan summoned another meeting at the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja on Wednesday and only the ten governors were in attendance. The governors are:

Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Theodore Orji (Abia), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Liyel Imoke (Cross River),  Idris Wada (Kogi) Isa Yuguda (Bauchi) and Ramalan Yero (Kaduna).

The governors who walked out of the party's convention on Saturday to form a parallel PDP were invited to the meeting but they declined and their refusal is said to be causing more trouble for Jonathan.

Present at the meeting, which started 9pm at the First Lady conference room, were VP Namadi Sambo; PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim; Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Ahmed Gulak; and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati.

Press men were asked to leave the venue of the meeting on the pretext that it was a private meeting.

Jonathan is aware that he can't win the 2015 election with just 10 governors on his side, hence he has mobilize some known political lobbyists, especially Chief Tony Anenih, to help talk to Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, TY Danjuma and a few others not to support the Atiku group.

The battle is on as the New PDP in consultation with APC is winning more converts.
