Sorry Nigerians, You Can No Longer Apply for US Visa Lottery

Nigerians who have been dreaming of travelling abroad to the US with a view to escape the poverty at home through the US Visa Lottery will now have to look for other means to keep their dream alive.

Information from the United States Department of State on Sunday said Nigerians and citizens from a number of other countries are no longer eligible for the United States Visa Lottery.

US Department of State said Nigeria is excluded from the DV-2015 because:

Several Nigerians, well over 50,000, had immigrated into the United States in the last five years, seeking for a better living condition.

Applications for the 2015 US DV lottery is expected to take off from October 1, 2013. Please if you have paid any money to a Visa Lottery agent in Nigeria, kindly go back and collect your money.
