Recently, In an interview with Channels TV, the First Lady of Lagos State opened up on how she manage to build a successful marriage, despite the obvious religious differences.



She said:

"Though I am a catholic and he is a Muslim, he got married to me in my church-The Catholic Church. My husband has practiced his religion and he also encourages me to practice mine. There is no trouble at all. In our home, we both have altars. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ and my husband prays in Allah's name & the children understand all that. My children are baptized and they go to church. When he wants them to go to mosque with him they go to the mosque with him."

Now the question is

1. As a man, Would you agree to marry a woman who would not follow your to own church but rather insist that you must wed her in own place of worship?


2. As a woman, Would you agree to a marriage where you have a different religion with your husband bearing in mind that the kids would be left in a belief conflict and identity issues?
