#NigeriaDecides: Abia PDP allegedly trying to manipulate governorship election result

The Peoples Democratic Party in Abia state is reportedly trying to manipulate the governorship election in the state.

According to a YNaija source on ground in the state, the party is particularly making moves to doctor results from Osisioma Ngwa, one of the three local government areas where election was cancelled by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner.

The two remaining LGAs affected are; Obingwa, Ugwunagbo and Isiala Ngwa North.

The source says that the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance is winning by a wide margin, hence the PDP hopes to falsify the election in Osisioma Ngwa to catch up with him.

Earlier today, results from some Local Governments were cancelled due to widespread irregularities and violence.

Meanwhile, international observers have also backed the position of the REC, stating that voting did not take place in the affected LGAs.

Reading of result has now been suspended till Monday, April 13.
