#NigeriaDecides: How PDP cleared House of Assembly seats in Gombe

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the state constituency election in Kaltungo West, Shongom and Billiri, Dukku in Gombe state.


Announcing the results in Kaltungo, Abdullahi Mohammed, the Returning Officer for Kaltungo West, in Katungo on Sunday said that Adamu Ayuba of PDP emerged the winner with 10,754 votes.


He said that Julius Ishaya of APC got 7,389 votes; Saidu Hamidu, ADC, 549; Abeth Zachariah, AD 34, and Jummai Zakka, SDP 10.


In Shongom, Alkali Mohammed, the Returning Officer, said that Fabulous Amos of PDP emerged the winner with 5,520 votes; Ambrose Alfred of APC polled 3,542 votes; while NNPP’s Evelyn Oske got 2 votes.


For Billiri East, Aishatu Abubakar, the Returning Officer, said Rambi Ayala of PDP also won with 13,833 votes to defeat Musa Galadima of APC who netted 4,105 votes.


In Kaltungo East, the Returning Officer, Asabe Ismaila, said the candidate of the APC, Ladan Yerima, clinched the seat with 12,609 votes.


According to her, Bulus Maori of PDP got 12,417 votes, Musa Machido of SDP five votes, Chibi Isah of UDP four, and Blessing Sale of NNPP polled two votes.


The PDP also won two seats in Dukku, while the APC won one seat in the Kwami West state constituency election.


Announcing the results in Dukku, the Returning Officer of Dukku North, Abubakar Yarda, said Gambo Kabade of PDP was elected with 9,876 votes while Murtala Usman of the APC came second with 5,504 votes.


Gad Hassan, Returning Officer of Dukku South, said Adamu Saidu of PDP was elected with 10,265 votes, while Yakubu Abubakar of the APC who scored 9,053 votes, came second.


Also, in Kwami West constituency, Fatima Ibrahim, Returning Officer of INEC, said Walid Mohammed of APC was elected with 12,487 votes, while Lamido Buba of PDP came second with 8,618 votes.


There was no clear winner in Kwami East constituency after the collation of results.


The Returning Officer, Mairama Salisu, said the elections in four polling units were cancelled because of snatching of ballot boxes.


According to her, there would be another election in the four polling units.
