Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has called for judicial inquiry into reported cases of ballot box snatching and violence during the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
Okorocha made the call after voting at his Ekenta Ogboko Ward 002 in Ideato South Local Government Area.
According to him, there were cases of ballot box snatching and violence in some parts of Ngor Okpala, Aboh Mbaise and in Izombe and Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area alleging that his Senior Special Adviser on Media, Sam Onwuemedo was arrested and later released.
“People involved in these acts should be brought to book. They should set up a judicial panel of inquiry to look into election crisis.
“It is high time this situation was brought to an end,” he said.
