Poem: Africa
Glistering in the daylight sun
You dance with slow gaiety
'Beautiful' are your heights so lofty
Though your land remain untarred
Black beauty l pronounce you
The world holds you in ancient awe
God created you without a scar
Though the world thinks you are not a star
Full diamonds,gold and precious ores
Lie deep in your soil unexplored
Waiting in endless queue to come ashore
Though your leaders refuse to act
Treasures put into place to make you full
Are misused to the fullest hue
Despotic leaders, that's what you have
Though you deserve them fully not.
