Detained Jonathan’s Ex-CSO, Gordon Obua, Not Dead
Gordon Obua, the former security officer to Nigeria’s immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, in the custody of Department of State Security (DSS), is not dead, NAIJ can report.
Sources within the country’s secret service confirmed to our correspondent that Mr Obua is very much alive refuting reports that emerged on social media Tuesday morning that Mr Obua died in the custody of the DSS.

” Mr Obua is alive,” the source said.
This newspaper further gathered that the former CSO had fainted on monday and rushed to hospital following his decision to embarked on hunger strike to protest the conditions of his detention.

Obua was detained by the SSS in Abuja since July 16 and was reportedly denied access to his doctor, family and lawyer who had claimed that Obua was denied his medications for hypertension and diabetes.
However, NAIJ cannot confirm if Obua has been allowed access to his medications. Obua served as CSO to Jonathan from 2010 to 2015.
Recently, former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, was held by the operatives of the DSS with the agency coming out to explain why it is probing the immediate past national security adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
