OMG! Popular Nigerian Fashion Entrepreneur Dies (PHOTOS)

Popular Nigerian business woman who has a huge investment in the fashion industry is dead.

The CEO of Dress Sence, Omolarami Olaide Sonoiki died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

She lost the battle of life to gastric cancer in faraway Atlanta Georgia. Lara was alleged to have died due to late detection of the deadly cancer that ended her life abruptly.

It was gathered that Lara had travelled to the United States in early May for her annual medical check-up when doctors diagnosed her with gastric cancer. She was later told she has less than 6 weeks to live.

On hearing the news her family was very supportive as they made her last days memorable as her husband made it up to her by standing by her in her six weeks battle with cancer. He was by her bedside when she breathes her last.

Lara, a graduate of Town and Regional Planning from Olabisi Onabanjo University had a stint working with the Lagos State Ministry of Environment & Physical Planning before she went into business.

Mrs Omolarami Olaide Sonoiki shortly after leaving the ministry founded Dressense in the year 2002. Dressense Clothing is today a household name in the world of corporate clothing.

Dressense Clothings known for exclusivity, unique styles and refined tastes, with presence in Alade Market, Allen Avenue-Ikeja and Awolowo Road-Ikoyi.

Her company, Noik Energy Limited is a major player in the downstream and midstream in the Nigeria oil and energy sector.

She was also the brain behind AMAS Foundation. AMAS was founded in the year 2012 to support the less privileged, especially for their educational growth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Olugbenga Abidemi Sonoiki and three children, Teniola, Foyinsola and Nifemi

Laroski as she was fondly call by her husband and children had great passion for cooking, shopping and traveling.

Meanwhile Lara Sonoiki have been buried. She was buried at the Vaults and Gardens cemetery in Ikoyi Lagos on July 1, 2015.
