Pastor Says He’s Jesus Christ, Tells People To Bury Him Alive, Then Horrible Thing Happens

Several members of a Zimbabwean church were arrested and charged with murder after having buried Shamiso Kanyama, a clergyman, alive.

According to Nigerian Watch Kanyama told the congregation that he was  the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. To prove it, he urged some Mazonde residents to bury him and vowed he would resurrect. He insisted that if he was buried, it would cleanse villagers’ houses of evil spirit.

The pastor failed to resurrect and died, which was followed by the arrest of five members of one family involved in the incident. They include Leanmore Mutero, Tonderai Muswere, Michael Muchengeti, Manasa Mutero and Nicholas Mutero.

It was obtained during the court proceedings that the suspects had begged the cleric to help them end mysterious deaths in their family.

Under the order of Kanyama, they dug a grave with the help of the pastor.

Priest Father Zvidzai, a witness, narrated:

“He pegged a grave-shaped pit in front of my hut and asked for help to dig the pit. The deceased requested to be buried alive so that he would gain power to drive away the evil forces.”

One Joseph Taderera added:

“I warned the men about the danger of their actions but my advice fell on deaf ears because Kanyama shouted, telling me that I am disturbing his angels and urged them to continue filling the grave, saying that he would later come out alive.”

The trial on the matter continues.
