There Is More To Nigeria Than Oil – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari attended a dinner hosted in his honor by the US Chamber of Commerce and the Corporate Council on Africa.

He addressed the group on the main economic issues, noting that there is more to Nigeria than oil. Buhari also said that generating employment was one of his key campaign promises and “I will do my best to keep this promise.”

President Buhari has also met with US Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Blair House in Washington DC.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will host Nigerian leader at the State Department on July 21, as Buhari continues a four day U.S. visit.

On Monday, he met with President Barack Obama at the White House to discuss the threat posed by Boko Haram militants and other subjects.

In an opinion piece published Monday in the Washington Post, President Buhari promised to take the fight directly to Boko Haram while “instilling good governance and tackling the scourge of corruption.”
