President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure could end in crisis if the All Progressives Congress (APC) fails to put its camp in order.

This was the position of Alhaji Salihu Tanko Yakasai, a political adviser of former President Shehu Shagari.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano yesterday, July 20, Yakasai noted that Buhari’s tenure could end in crisis if the APC fails to respect the opinions of its members in the National Assembly.

According to Yakasai, if the party’s crisis is not cautiously handled, it would affect the relationship between the federal legislature and the executive.

Yakasai urged the APC to respect the opinions of its members in order to put an end to the lingering crisis and ensure peace in the National Assembly.

He added that if the relationship between the Senate and presidency is affected, President Buhari cannot redeem his political promises to the electorate.

Yakasai’s warning comes just hours after Senator Barau Jibrin, representing Kano North senatorial district cautioned that the lingering crisis in the National Assembly may derail President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration if not quickly resolved.
