World Cup Finalist Makes Premier League Move, SEE Who
With the 2015/2016 Barclays Premier League approaching, teams have continued to make good use of the transfer market.
One of which is Manchester United FC who have announced the signing of Argentine international goalkeeper, Sergio Romero.
The World cup finalist has signed a three-year contract, with the option of a fourth season, after leaving Sampdoria earlier this summer.
“I am absolutely delighted to join Manchester United,” Romero told the club’s official website.
He added: “To play for the biggest club in the world is a dream come true for me. Louis van Gaal is a fantastic manager and I cannot wait to get started on this new and exciting challenge in my career.”

Romero rekindles his partnership with Coach Van Gaal after playing for the dutch coach in AZ Alkmaar between 2007 and 2009.

He is United’s fifth signing of the summer following the acquisitions of Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
“Sergio is a very talented goalkeeper,” said Van Gaal. “He was a young keeper during my time at AZ Alkmaar and I am delighted he is joining Manchester United.
“He had a fantastic World Cup last summer in Brazil, although that is something I have put to the back of my mind! He will be a great addition to the team and I am looking forward to working with him once again.”
Romero’s arrival is set to be followed by the departure of Victor Valdes but Van Gaal is hoping he keeps David De Gea at United.
Meanwhile, Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has confirmed on Instagram that he is set to sign a year long loan deal with Roma.
The Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger hinted that the loan move would only be a year long deal when he spoke of Szczesny’s future at the club, insisting he still has one.
“As long as that is not over the line, anything can happen. Szczesny is a top-class goalkeeper. We have three goalkeepers who are top. For one of the keepers, if he can play somewhere that would be good.
“I believe he will have a future at Arsenal. I personally rate him highly – you do not take a boy and put him in the first team at the age of 20 [if you don’t]. He already has huge experience. I don’t want that experience at such a young age to be wasted.”

The polish international is set to spend the 2015/16 with Roma as reports claim that there is no option, on the Serie A club’s side, to make the move a permanent one.
Szczesny fell down the pecking order following the arrival of arrival of Petr Cech.
