Buhari’s Cabinet: El-Rufai Opens Up On His Sister Nomination
Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna state governor, has finally reacted to the claims that he nominated his foster sister, Zainab Ahmed as the ministerial appointee representing the state.

El-Rufai discharged the accusation as a thought of the imagination of some elements who are not satisfied with the crucial changes going on in the state.
Zainab Ahmed served until her appointment the executive secretary of Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

The Kaduna state governor was speaking on a wide range of matters at the 4th town hall meeting to interfere with the people of the state on October 17, Saturday.
Governor El-Rufai stated that he has disclosed that some elements are carrying the face of the ruling party but deep in their hearts, they stand for the opposition.
He took a firm stand at the meeting that he neither submitted anybody’s name for ministerial position nor that of his sister.
According to the governor, President Muhammadu Buhari acted on his own wisdom.

Zainab Ahmed is the daughter of Yahaya Hamza, the foster father of Nasir el-Rufai, who is reportedly one of the most powerful men in President Buhari’s inner circle.
Meanwhile, the Senate has shifted screening of ministerial nominees till October 20, Tuesday.
