Unlike Aisha Buhari, who has a distinctive and exquisite taste in expensive luxury-looking watches, Muhammadu Buhari prefers to wear much more modest-looking watch on his wrist.

On Wednesday, October 14, general David Rodriguez, the commander of the US African command, presented Muhammadu Buhari  a very luxury-looking table clock during his visit at the presidential villa in Abuja.

But the watch on Buhari’s wrist are of no less interest. The President of Nigeria was spotted wearing some thin white metal watch with elegant black leather strap and Roman numerals on a classic dial.

But despite its modest appearance, this watch might be not the cheap one. The watch’s dial and its overall appearance pretty much remind the dial of the luxury Breguet 5967, one of the most preferred Breguet’s models among wealthy businessmen for its classic look and accuracy movement.

Breguet 5967 is a classic manual wind watch of white gold with a white gold buckle and a perfect sapphire crystal-coated dial. The case diameter is 41 mm, while its thickness is 7 mm.

Still, some experts say that Buhari’s watch may be as well a much cheaper Baume & Mericer model costing as low as $ 1,528 but looking pretty similar to classic Breguet 5967.

But Aishat Alubankudi, who seems to be the supporter of President Buhari, stated on her Facebook account that the real price of the wristwatch is only $129 (N25 700).
