Nigerian Women’s Rights Advocate Dies After Long Battle With Cancer
Mrs. Bisi Olateru-Olagbegi, a human rights activist and executive director of Women’s Consortium of Nigeria (WOCON), Mrs. Olabisi Olateru-Olagbegi has passed away on Wednesday, December 17.
According to her family, Mrs Olateru-Olagbegi died at the age of 63 following her long battle with cancer.

She was a delegate at the 2015 national confab put together by administration of the former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja

Womens Consortium of Nigeria (WOCON) is a non-governmental, non-profit making organisation committed to the enforcement of womens rights and the attainment of equality development and peace.

It was established in 1995 to fill the vacuum in the area of implementation and enforcement of womens rights following the awareness and enlightenment already created by the several NGOs.
