Read The Shocking Items JTF Found With Niger Delta Militants
A special operation in the Niger Delta region named Operation Pulo Shield by the Joint Task Force (JTF) has resulted in the arrest of some militants and pipeline vandals.
The Punch reports that the operation in the region also resulted in the recovery of firearms and powerful explosives which were suspected to be used to blow off pipeline by the vandals.

The suspects and the recovered items were paraded on Thursday, December 17 at the headquarters of the operation on Opolo Road, Yenagoa in Bayelsa state.
Major General Alani Okunlola who is the commander of the operation revealed that raids on the camps of the militants effectively resulted in arrest of the culprits.
The commander gave the names of the suspects as Mako Ajagidi, aka Sorsor; Godspower Alebi and Okiti Ariri and that the items recovered were one light machine gun, five AK 47 rifles, one G3 rifle, one LAR rifle, 20 AK 47 magazines, two LAR rifle magazines, 145 rounds of 7.62mm X 39mm special, 299 x 7.62mm NATO ammunition, 273 rounds of 5.65mm ammunition, 10 dynamites and bundles of two detonating cords.
The commander said: “The recovery of arms and ammunition is as a result of the raids on suspected militant camps.
“The operation is a continuous one aimed at recovering all illegally acquired arms that have found their way into the Niger Delta region.”

Okunlola urged the people in the region to support the security officers and that they should provide useful information
He also assured the people that the force was committed to fighting vandalism and criminal activities in the region.
