Emenike, Onazi On Radar Of Top EPL Teams

The Nigerian duo of Emmanuel Emenike and Ogenyi Onazi have been linked with a transfer move to the English Premier League.

This comes on the heels of report on Uk Daily Mail that both players’ services are needed in West Ham and Swansea City respectively.

According to the report, West Ham co-owner, David Sullivan, has confirmed that the club are in talks with a new striker but he was coy on the identity of the transfer target.

Emenike and Onazi linked with EPL moves

Sullivan said: “There’s a possibility that a striker will come in on loan, with the option to buy, within the next seven days. He’s an overseas striker.

“If I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. I can’t tell you which league because then you’ll know exactly who it is. We are signing from a very strange league. But he has played in higher leagues.”

Emenike who is fresh from a loan spell in the Middle East where he starred for Dubai-based club Al Ain, is seen as surplus to requirement at his parent club, Fenerbahce, hence he has been tipped to make a move the EPL before the January window winds down.

On the other hand, Onazi has been tipped to make a move to Wales to join Swansea City.

The transfer reports emanating from Italy suggests that the new coach at Swansea City, Francesco Guidolin, is a big fan of the Super Eagles vice-captain due to his first-hand knowledge of the midfielder during his time in charge of Udinese.

It has been gathered that Swansea are preparing a five million Euro bid, but may have to increase their offer to as much as seven million if they are to convince Lazio to sell Onazi.

Both Onazi and Emenike were linked with EPL moves after 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

It was reported that Emmanuel Emenike was in the radar of Chelsea and the energetic striker has not hidden his dream to play in the EPL and he has the attitude, power and speed to succeed there.

While the industrious Onazi Ogenyi was rumoured to be wanted by two top English clubs, Liverpool and Manchester City.
