Elder statesman, Maitama Sule has voiced his reaction to the recent activities of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

During a visit to the acting chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu on Monday in Abuja, Premium Times reports that the former minister applauded the EFCC boss for reviving up the anti-corruption campaign in the country.

According to a source, Sule offered his support of the activities of the commission and urged Magu not to be distracted by the antics of critics.

”You are doing very well. Please remain focused and I am confident that you will go far,” the former minister said.

Maitama Sule was the pioneer federal commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission.

He was also Nigeria’s former representative to the United Nations.

During President Shehu Shagari’s administration, the elder statesman served as minister of national guidance, a portfolio designed to assist the former president  in tackling corruption.
