"As an Academy member, I would love to see a more diverse voting membership," Oscar winning actress said.

The 2016 Academy Awards nominations were announced on Thursday, January 14, 2015, featuring all white actors in the four acting categories.

The obvious lack of diversity led to the resurrection of the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite, and some black actors threatening to boycott the awards ceremony.

2006 Oscar winner, Resse Witherspoon, took to her Facebook page to express her disappointment on lack of diversity.
