Miss Sold announced the engagement on her Instagram account on the morning of Thursday, March 31.

An amazing evening, in an incredible place. Just us and the sound of the waves... Can't describe my feeling... No words, it was just unreal... I feel like the luckiest woman #love #amour #reallove #happiness #engagmentring #29mars2016 #infinity #8,” she wrote alongside a photo picture of the couple toasting their engagement.

Sold was last year reported to be still working as a shop attendant in an adidas store in the Manchester city centre.

Sold earns about  £15,000 a year from her job at the shop a far cry from the  £5m her boyfriends collects annually from Manchester United.

She took the job after the midfielder joined Manchester United from Southampton.

According to the Sun, Schneiderlin regularly picked up his girlfriend from work to their temporary resident at the Lowry Hotel in Salford.
