‘Nigerians have lost faith in APC’ – Governor Wike

According to Nyesom Wike, Nigerians have lost faith in the APC.

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will bounce back and return to power in 2019.

According to the governor, Nigerians have already realized that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a political party founded on deceit.

PM News reports that Wike spoke in Dutse, Jigawa state, on Monday, April 25, during the PDP membership mobilization programme.

The aim of the PDP membership mobilization programme was to mobilise more people to register as members of the party.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the governor stressed that there is no APC in Jigawa state.

“What happened in 2015 has opened the eyes of Nigerians. Nigerians have lost faith in APC. From what we have seen, it is obvious that Nigerians were deceived. They have seen the deceit of APC and they have returned to where they belong.

“They have seen the truth and they are back to their original party. The false stories of 2015 will no longer be accepted and come 2019, PDP will bounce back to power.

“I am going back to the Niger Delta to tell the people that PDP is fully rooted in the north,” he said.

Also speaking, Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa statae, described the PDP as an antidote of the APC. He assured Nigerians that that the party would provide answers to the developmental needs of the people.

Ali Modu Sheriff, the national chairman of the PDP, said that the aim of their visit to Jigawa state was to mobilise more people to register as members of the party.

“There is PDP in Jigawa State, APC is finished,” he stressed.

However, not all residents were happy with the visit of the PDP members to the state.

After their visit, some local people took to the streets with brooms and gallons of water to wash off whatever dirt the PDP brought to the state.
