Breaking: Ten man Manchester United win their first FA Cup title in 12 years
Follow the LIVE updates of the 2016 FA Cup final between Manchester United and Crystal Palace below;
120′ Suspiciously, we will have two minutes of extra time
118′ De Gea comes charging off his line to save at the feet of Zaha and receives a clattering for his troubles. It was a tight angle so a shot wasn’t really on, but it was still brave goalkeeper
114′ STAT: The last two FA Cups to go into extra-time were decided without the need of penalties – Didier Drogba scoring for Chelsea against United in 2007 and Aaron Ramsey scoring for Arsenal over Hull in 2014.
112′ SHOT!!!! Jedinak thumps a shot from distance narrowly wide. Palace need to respond quickly if they are to avoid another cup final heartache against Manchester United.
110′ GOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!! Jesse Lingard given 10 man United the lead
105′ HT in extra time; Crystal Palace 1 – 1 Manchester United
103′ RED CARD for Chris Smalling for a rugby tackle on Chris Smalling @CPFC 1 – 1 @ManUtd #FACupFinal
101′ Bolasie latches on to a knock-down and is denied by a De Gea save at the goalkeeper’s near post. That wold have been goal of the tournament
100′ Maroune Fellaini shown a yellow card
98′ SHOT!!! Rooney tries one from the edge of the box but its curled wide
96′ Darmian curls in a cross, but it’s slightly too firmly hit and drifts behind for a goal-kick.
91′ Extra – time: FIRST CHANCE TO PALACE! Bolasie plays an exceptional ball over the top to send Zaha into the area, but Blind and Valencia converge, with the Dutchman putting the eventual challenge in, to deny the forward a shot on goal! Encouraging start for the Eagles!
FT: Juan Mata equalised just minutes after Jason Puncheon appeared to win it late for Pardew’s side, as two goals are evenly split between the sides after 90 minutes. It took some time for the second half to get going, but there was no shortage of drama in the end – though it should pale in comparison to the drama that is still to come!
90′ Zaha wriggles free of Smalling but his shot is sliced and can only find the side-netting. Extra-time beckons.
89′ SUB: Jesse Lingard on, Juan Mata on
88′ Rooney throws himself into a late tackle on Zaha, which looked a painful one, and he’s booked as a result
85′ Dwight Gayle replaces Wickham up top for Palace
83′ Ashley Young has a shot blocked in the box and Palace scramble it clear. United have the bit between their teeth and Palace are shell-shocked having been pegged back so quickly after Puncheon’s opener
81′ GOOOAAALLL!!! Juan Mata equalises for Manchester United after great work by Rooney saw the captain’s cross chested down by Fellaini at the back post. 1-1!
76′ GOOOAAALLL!!! Jason Puncheon scores for Crystal Palace! His corner is cleared by Fellaini, but he’s picked out at the far post as Palace keep the move alive and he controls it neatly before lashing a shot past De Gea at the near post. 1-0!
71′ United have gone direct, looking to play off Fellaini with long balls into the box. It’s not the prettiest, but Palace can’t get out of their own half.
69′ Yohan Cabaye off, Jason Puncheon on, Ashleyy Young replaces the injured Marcus Rashford
64′ Yellow card for Delany for a reckless challenge on Marcos Rojo who had to be removed for Matteo Darmian
61′ OFF THE WOODWORK!! Valencia is afforded too much time and space to pick out a cross, which he does brilliantly to place a delivery on the head of Martial. The Frenchman picks out the far post exquisitely, and has Hennessey beaten, but can only watch on as his header rattles off the frame of the goal!
59′ Palace will be pleased with how this game is unfolding. The longer it remains 0-0 the more they will fancy their chances of stealing the decisive opening goal. United’s best hope in attack seems to be through Rashford or Martial,
55′ JEDINAK! The man who has done so well in defending set-pieces this evening, gets a chance of his own from one at the other end. Cabaye’s free-kick runs through to him at the far post, but seems to take the midfielder by surprise as he lifts a volley high and wide of the far post!
53′ Valencia fizzes a ball across the face of goal and it’s cut out before a United teammate can react. Van Gaal has clearly had strong words at the break, because his side have visibly upped their intensity.
51′ Rashford tees up Fellaini and the Belgian rattles an effort off the bar from inside the box. That’s the best effort of the game so far and it’s brought the United end to life for the first time.
49′ Long throws are a big danger when Palace are playing, but Manchester United manage to scramble it away on two occasions in quick succession.
48′ Dann fouls Rashford and picks up a deserved booking. Rashford has been excellent today and has shown exactly why he’s in the England squad.
46′ Second half resumes
Crystal Palace 0-0 Man United HT: It’s all square at the break. Mark Clattenburg has been in the thick of it as he has looked to be favouring Manchester United with three big decisions against Palace (A goal, a penalty decision and a call to pull play back)
44′ A third yellow card for Uniteed in this first half with Mata joining Rojo and Smalling on the referees book
40′ Another awful decision by Mark Clattenburg to be honest. The referee fails to play advantage again as Ward is fouled but gets in behind the defence. Rojo is booked, but that’s not what Palace wanted and the pacing Pardew has plenty of reasons to be complaining.
38′ First a disallowed goal andnow a penalty decision goes against Palace. Alan Pardew is angry and he has a point because Palace should be 2 – 0 up
34′ Rooney gives the ball away in midfield but tracks back and makes a sliding tackle in the box to dispossess Zaha. The Palace fans scream for a penalty as the players collapse in a tangle, but the decision goes the other way. Should have been a penalty
33′ CHANCE!!! Rashford’s low ball finds Martial at the back post but Joel Ward deflects it behind, Palace survive
32′ United aren’t at their flowing best, but Fellaini should have found the back of the net and has been the most threatening player on the pitch.
30′ An incredibly loose pass from Carrick in his own end allows a quick break from Palace, but Wickham drags his left-footed strike wide of the far post from atop the area.
28′ SHOT!!! Bolasie tries his luck from distance but De Gea is up to the task
26′ HEADER!!! Fellanini has been a menace this evening getting on another corner but his header is just wide
23′ SAVE OF LIFE! Hennessey is forced into the first real difficult save of the evening for either keeper, as he dives over to his left and gets a strong hand on Mata’s well-placed effort! It was an excellent spot from Valencia to play the Spaniard through, after he got in behind Delaney.
20′ De Gea punches Cabaye’s free-kick, giving the Eagles another opportunity to threaten from a set-piece. Fellaini only partially clears the threat this time, as Palace continue to keep the pressure on here. It’s a bit of a sticky period for United, who are bailed out as Wickham fouls Blind inside the area.
16′ Smalling is booked for a foul on Wickham, but that’s only half the story. Wickham got back to his feet after the incident, weaving into the box and finding the back of the net… only to then realise that the whistle had already gone.
12′ Palace break but fail to put Bolasie away. De Gea does well to race across and deny the London side a corner after the through-ball took a touch off Blind.
11′ HEADER’ Fellaini’s header from a corner just fizzles wide of the post, United looking dangerous
9′ United have started the game brightly, but there’s been plenty of encouragement for Palace too – particularly the space they’ve been able to find in wide areas.
8′ Great pace from Rashford! The striker surges forward on an inquisitive run that looks a real problem for Delaney, who clearly grabs hold of the forward’s shirt. Rashord carries on and doesn’t look for a penalty, but ends up knocking the ball disappointingly behind – though Mark Clattenburg isn’t in the best position as he wrongfully awards United a corner.
5′ Palace pose a real threat from set pieces, as we’ve come to see this season, while defending in the air has been an area of concern for United. Bolasie wins the game’s first corner with some sound dribbling down the left, but the ensuing delivery is scooped up by the safe hands of David de Gea
4′ First attack for United as Wayne Hennessey claims a high ball towards the back post, with Marouane Fellaini arriving.
2′ Palace attack early and Bolasie forces a corner which De Gea easily handles
1′ KICK off
