1. Museu do Amanhã, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: If you plan on watching the Olympics in Rio this July, then be sure to make a stop at Museu do Amanha. The spectacularly designed museum is itself an attraction. However, the main exhibition is the brainchild of physicist and cosmologist Luiz Alberto Oliveira, and takes visitors through five major areas: Cosmos, Earth, Anthropocene, Tomorrow and Now via a number of experiments and experiences, encouraging them to explore fundamental questions of existence and to envisage the kind of future we all face.

 

2. Tenderloin Museum, San Francisco: This museum is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the rich history of the area, Tenderloin. The museum offers walking tours of the area, and its historic buildings, gambling dens, legendary bars and places of cultural note.

 

3. Cairo Airport Museum, Egypt: This museum is conveniently located inside Terminal 3 of Cairo International Airport. A work in progress, the museum aims to attract transient tourists and will eventually contain 38 pieces, many of them antiquities on loan from the Egyptian museum in central Cairo.

 

4. Grimm World, Kassell, Germany: Discover all about the brothers behind such great folklore classics like Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and Rapunzel -  Brothers Grimm. Located in Kassell, the town that was their home for many years, the museum focuses on the brothers’ significant contribution to folklore and lingusitics.  Exhibits include original manuscripts and letters, film and sound documents, art installations and many more.

 

5. Vitraria Glass +A Museum, Venice: A museum dedicated to glass, Vitraria Glass +A’s current exhibition uses the characteristics of glass like fragility, liquidity, and transparency – to explore its decorative use throughout the ages.
