Coach of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Emmanuel Amuneke has vowed to break the transition jinx of players from the U-17 to U-20s.

He is expected to take along most of his players to the U-20 amidst the history of poor transition of Nigerian players from the U-17 to the U-20s.
Ahead of the 2017 African Youth Championship (AYC) the coach has however revealed all the players under him, are doing all they can to break the jinx.
“We are going to Burundi with the aim of winning so that the return leg here will be a mere formality,” Amuneke said from Abuja.
“We have trained very well and ready to go but our long term aim is to end this seeming jinx where despite doing well in the U-17, we are yet to repeat that at the U-20 level. But I am optimistic that with the support of Nigerians we can achieve this goal.”
