In Yobe: INEC employs ex corps member blinded during 2011 elections
Daniel Oluwatobi, reportedly lost his sight while working as an INEC ad hoc staff for the 2011 elections, as is the norm, during his National Youth Service in Yobe State.
News reports have revealed that an ex-youth Corps member who had lost his sight in the 2011 elections has been employed by INEC and posted to the state of his choice.

Daniel Oluwatobi, reportedly lost his sight while working as an INEC ad hoc staff for the 2011 elections, as is the norm, during his National Youth Service in Yobe State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, is reported to have recalled his promise to employ Oluwatobi during a visit to the NYSC headquarters to condole with the Director-General, Brigadier Gen Sule Kazaure on the death of a youth Corps member, Samuel Okonta.
Speaking during the visit, Prof. Yakubu said:
“Today, we are fulfilling that promise. Oluwatobi has requested to be posted to Ogun State, and to Ogun State he has been posted."

Prof. Yakubu went on to present the letter of appointment to Brig. Gen Kazaure, who in turn handed it over to Oluwatobi.
