Boko Haram: Bolori reveals ‘shocking’ encounter with the military and DSS
– Ambassador Ahmed Bolori, one of the three Nigerians declared wanted by the military in connection with Boko Haram, has spoken out again
– Bolori, who had earlier denied any link with the terrorists, revealed his experience with the military and DSS
– He also revealed his role in the entire saga and what he advised the federal government to do concerning the terrorists
The coordinator of the Fa’ash Foundation and the Partnership Against Violent Extremism (Pave), Ambassador Ahmed Bolori, has revealed what he discussed with security agencies when he appeared before them.
Bolori, Aisha Wakil and Salkida were declared wanted by the military
Bolori was earlier declared wanted in connection with links to Boko Haram, a terrorist organisation that has killed citizens of Nigeria and taken over territories mainly in the north-eastern part of the country.
According to Daily Trust, Bolori declared that the Nigerian military wrongly declared him wanted alongside Barrister Aisha Wakkil, an alleged negotiator for the sect, and Ahmed Salkida, a journalist.
He was released recently after he appeared before the security agencies.
Ambassador Bolori, who denied links with the sect, said he was shocked to realise that there was no evidence against him.
He said his only role was his attempt to link Barrister Aisha Wakkil, also known as ‘Maman Boko Haram’ with the authorities to help with negotiations between the sect and the government.

Though he was interrogated, the security agencies told him he was not under any form of arrest.
He revealed that a team of colonels and generals at the Maimalari barracks in Maiduguri, Borno state spoke with him before he was transferred to Abuja, where operatives of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) further interrogated him.
According to him, nothing is wrong with suggesting that the federal government should contact Aisha to reach out to the terrorists.

He said what he did was in the interest of peace in the country and that he had no links with any international organisation.
Bolori said he advised the government and the military to provide an avenue for willing insurgents to embrace peace.
