On Sunday, August 21, the Adamawa-born All Progressives Congress (APC) political stalwart dismissed the allegations going round in the newspapers that he has a hand him in the ongoing leadership tussle in the former ruling party.

Atiku spoke against the backdrop of a report in a national daily with the twitter handle @independentNGR that he has knowledge about the lingering PDP crisis.
The ex-vice president frowned at the news item linking him with the PDP imbroglio, by responding with a short tweet post via his official Twitter handle @AtikuOrg.

There are speculations going round the corner that PDP governors and other influential chieftains in the party have identified Atiku as a viable candidate to wrestle power back from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.
