Paul Pogba made his debut in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Southampton at Old Trafford on Friday, August 19. Zlatan Ibrahimovic continued his impressive run of form for the Red Devils as he got both goals in each half of the match.

And Pogba reacted: “It’s great. My first debut and we win, so I’m very happy for that and for the team. I came back home and I’m happy for the win and I hope to carry on like this – getting better and better and just keep winning, that’s all we can do.”

He continued: “I feel very good. At the end I missed a bit but I was OK, my legs feel good – I can carry on. The first 20 minutes we started very slowly, they attacked us, but after we started taking the ball and playing with our quality. We scored the one goal and after that it came easily. That’s what we can do.”

Pogba missed the season opener alongside club teammate Chris Smalling.

Recall that Manchester United have finally signed Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in a deal worth over £100m ($131m).
