Not everyone is born a fighter; some people ordinarily would have given up the moment they are faced with life threatening situations. Some would lose the desire to live as they would believe there is nothing left to live for.

Cacsmy Brutus who prefers to be called Caxmee is definitely one of those few people in the world who would inspire you.

Her story is a remarkable one as she had her fair share of bitterness; she did not let the circumstances she had found herself in to define her. When you speak of hope, bravery and confidence,  she stands for all that.

The twenty six year-old American travel blogger was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer when she was fourteen.

She was told she had three weeks to live but it did not happen; she fought hard and pulled through that phase.

According to her, surviving cancer did not come easily, her right leg was amputated in the process. Now she walks with a prosthetic leg and two forearm crutches for support. Ordinarily, one would have expected the young lady to feel sorry for herself and live a life of seclusion.

She pursued her dreams despite everything that happened; she has been recognised as a fashionista on Instagram and also as a prominent model. Caxmee beat everyone’s expectation by not covering up her prosthetic leg with clothes.

Instead, she made the best out of the situation by embracing the reality and turning her weakness to strength.

Her sense of fashion is inspiring; being a travel and fashion blogger, she has given many people a reason to hang on and make the most out of whatever situation they find themselves.

She has proved to the world that one’s physical attribute should never be a limitation as she has defied all the odds. Being an amputee has not stopped her from modelling and showing the world how beautiful life is.

She considers herself to be a muse and started modelling as a result of her collaboration with photographers she considered friends. She works with a head wrap company while modelling for them too.  She loves activities that are challenging and would climb rocks using her arms mainly.
