A Catholic nun has married the church where she served for 25 years.

According to reports, a catholic nun identified as Sister Rose Catherine Wamboi, has gotten married to the church where she served for 25 long years (strange right?).

51-year-old Sister Wamboi who has been a nun at the St.Francis of Assisi Getito catholic church in Tetu, Nyeri county in Kenya for 25 years, held a traditional wedding ceremony on August 21, “to mark her last stage of being married to the church”.

The parish priest, Father Boniface Murage, said Wambui was making her last official vow to the church. He also represented the church, standing in as Wambui’s groom.

Explaining why she married the church, here’s what Wambui said:

“I chose to do it because of the values that I got from my culture which have molded me. The same values are the ones that the church is instilling in me.”
