Woman Bags 3months Jail sentence For Stealing Transcorp Hilton Hotel Towels

Emerging reports from the High Court of FCT, Abuja indicate that one Ms. Adeola,31 has been sentenced to 3months in jail for unlawful possession of company items.

FNN correspondence following the case disclosed it all started on the 29th of july 2013 when the said Adeola was checking out of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, after spending the weekend with a Top Government official.

Upon leaving the hotel, as a security measure, she was asked to put her bag through the x-ray baggage scanner and walk through the door frame metal detector, knowing she had the hotel towels in her bag and cos she was thinking the pc-screen will show the towels, she refused, instead she held the bag closely to her chest.

At this juncture the hotel security personnels were suspicious, and asked to search her bag, she got furious and With the connections of the top government officials in her mind, she threatened the security personnels and staffs present that she was going to sue the hotel for “Defamation of character” and “invading her right to privacy”

so they whisked the bag out of her hand and insisted on manually searching the bag even after its has been screened by the baggage scanner and discovered the bag contained three(3) customised Transcorp Hilton Hotel Guest Towels, the chief security officer handed her over to the police and she was subsequently charged to court.

FNN confirmed she pleaded guilty in court and pleaded for mercy because she was ignorant, her statement includes “I swear, I didn’t know the towels were to be left in the room, when oga told me the cost of the room, I was shocked at how expensive it was, so I thought the hotel dashed us the towels, foot mats, reading lamp, bedspreads and the rest, I didn’t carry others because it won’t enter my bag and oga said I was coming back again by month end” she planned on bringing a truck then, she added
