No Money for Safety In Aviation But Minister Stella Oduah Bought Two Cars Worth N255m

Most Nigerians are stupid and gullible. In Nigeria, political office holders who earn millions of Naira are also entitled to hardship allowance but the citizens they are serving cannot have social security. How sad!

As you read this, we can confirm that the Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, who had said there is no money for the Aviation sector to guarantee total security of flying planes, has forced NCAA, the agency in charge of ensuring safety and airworthiness of planes, to spend N255million for two bullet proof vehicles for her use.

When the story first broke, Stella Oduah and her spokesman denied but once they discovered that Nigerians have gotten the documents of the two cars, they started saying something different.

Claiming that the N255m cars were bought to protect Stella Oduah, her spokesman said:
“Yes, it is true that some security vehicles were procured for the use of the office of the honourable minister in response to the clear and imminent threat to her personal security and life following the bold steps she took to reposition the sector.

“When she came on board as the minister, she inherited a lot of baggage in terms of the concession and lease agreements in the sector, which were clearly not in the interest of the government and people of Nigeria.

“And so, she took bold steps and some of these agreements were reviewed and some were terminated, and these moves disturbed some entrenched interests in the sector, and within this period, she began to receive some imminent threats to her life; therefore, the need for the vehicles."

But this same spokesman, his name is Joe Obi, had claimed that N255m was never spent on cars for her.

Anyway, officials of the NCAA who exposed the Minister said she lacks the sense of maturity to manage the Aviation sector. One of them said the NCAA did not have enough money to upgrade equipment, send staff for critical aviation training, and hire enough qualified staff. “Yet, all the minister is concerned about is to have two exotic BMW cars from the little money we have for operations.”

You may wish to know that two major air crashes have occurred under Stella Oduah’s watch all due to lack of proper equipment to guarantee the safety of aircrafts and the airspace in Nigeria.

Nigeria, we are in trouble!
