SAD: 8 dead in another boat mishap in Lagos [DETAILS]

No fewer than 8 people have reportedly lost their lives yesterday night in a boat accident that occurred between Eko bridge and Ikorodu waterways in Lagos.
It was gathered that 12 people have been rescued while 6 are still missing.
According to Premium Times, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), said that Bell Marine Services owns the ill fated boat which left Ebute Ero in Lagos Island for Majidun, Ikorodu.
The exact number of passengers on board is yet to be determined, NEMA said.
This accident occurred barely 3 weeks after a boat conveying about 24 passengers in Festac Town, Lagos, capsized, killing 13 people, most of them hurrying to watch a European Champions League game.
About a month ago, another boat also capsized at Ogogoro village in Navy Town, Apapa, killing about 10 persons, including a mother and her child.
