 1. APC suffers 17,000 blows

In recent time, the Peoples Democratic Party has lost thousands of members to the All Progressives Congress… and now, the tables have turned.

The APC recently suffered a loss, when 17,000 of their supporters switched allegiance to the PDP.

The mass defection was led by the a governorship aspirant of All Progressive Congress, APC, Yususfu Akirikwen at Jolly Nyame Stadium the venue of the APC primary election.

2. No N10 million, certainly no Emir

Kidnapping is becoming a lucrative business.

The abductors of the Emir of Bukkuyum in Zamfara State, Alhaji Mohammed Usman, have demanded for N10 million ransom.

Definitely, money will exchange hands before the Emir is released… but thePolice will say they rescued him.

3. OPC has saved Nigeria from losing trillions

Oodua Peoples Congress deserves its N9 billion pipeline protection contract, as the group must have saved trillions of naira for Nigeria.

This is what leader of the group, Gani Adams, said in defence of the contract awarded to the vigilante group.

“We have been running this organisation without getting a dime from any government but most of the security agencies saddled with the responsibility of protecting the pipelines have failed. Nigeria was losing more than N3bn everyday to the activities of the vandals.”

4. Apparently, Saint Soludo is squeaky-clean

For some reason, it took the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission 4 months to declare that former CBN governor, Charles Soludo, had been cleared of allegations of scam.

At a press briefing, the EFCC finally did the needful by saying Soludo had been cleared in the involvement in the N750 million Polymer notes scamallegation.

“After investigating Soludo, the commission did not find him incriminated in any way and had to clear him of any wrongdoing.”

5. Obasanjo begs court to ‘let his books be sold’

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, desperately wants to sell his autobiography ‘My Watch’.

A court had in December ruled against the publication of the book pending the determination of the N20bn libel suit against him, but Obasanjo wouldn’t have it, and thus, went ahead to release the book, which prompted the court to order that all copies of ‘My Watch’ be confiscated.

Having swallowed a great deal of ‘humble pie’, Obasanjo is begging the court to allow his books be released for sale.

6. Nigerians should be worried of Ebola’s comeback

The first time Ebola came to Nigeria was through our neighbours, the Liberians, specifically, Patrick Sawyer.

Again, the country has discovered a fresh case of the Ebola virus disease, barely two weeks after the World Health Organization declared the country Ebola-free.

It goes without saying that; Nigerians have to be at alert… just in case there’s another Sawyer-like person in Liberia.

7. APC is afraid of something called- ‘Modified Ekiti Rigging Strategy’

The All Progressives Congress is scared-stiff that alleged rigging of the June 2014 Ekiti governorship election will be replicated across the country.

The opposition says the PDP is in bed with security agencies, to manipulate the elections by replicating the strategy coined as the ‘Modified Ekiti Rigging Strategy’.
