Who else but Tinubu to take the first post-election swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party?

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, says that while the new-ruling party were addressing how they would solve the problems of Nigerians, the former-ruling party was directing attacks at them.

In a brief chat with YNaija, Tinubu stated that the government of Muhammadu Buhari would focus on issues like “reform of institutions, bringing back rule of law, security of Nigerians, and recovery of wealth.”

Tinubu said: “The people voted for the change and we must give them a good life.”

Speaking on the strategy used to defeat the PDP, he said: “While they were busy abusing us we were telling Nigerians the problems and how we will solve them. Nigerians are intelligent people, they could decipher what was real and was a sham.”

“They claim there’s stabilization yet states can’t pay salaries because FEC hasn’t given money. Where is the money for the rainy day? We have no savings so there’s drought in the land.”

The former governor of Lagos also praised the effort of the Independent National Electoral Commission and its Chairman, Attahiru Jega, in conducting a free and fair election.

He said: “I commend the institution, INEC. Jega did his job, although there were glitches here and there. The institution did okay. Human intervention in INEC was too much and too tedious but it is still a growing institution.”
