4 major changes made to the official portraits of Buhari, Osinbajo
by Kolapo Olapoju
The official portraits of President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President-elect, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has been changed.
Why?- Simply because Nigerians had issues with the old portraits.
After taking a careful look at the old and new portraits, we managed to determine the 4 major changes made.
OLD
Muhammadu Buhari
1. Smile
In the old portrait, Buhari seemed unamused at the prospect of inheriting a nation immersed in debt. He simply had little joy, however, in the new portrait, joy was evident in his soul as he smiled a little.
2. Ears
The President-elect’s right ear was hardly noticeable in the first portrait, but in the new one, it (the ear) stood proudly in front of the flag.
3. Younger-looking
Most of the comments the first portrait generated was the fact that Buhari looked very old(his age) in the photo. Apparently, the President-elect’s people listened and made him look a decade younger in the new portrait.
4. Zoomed out
It goes without saying that the another difference between the old and new portraits is that the former was more zoomed in while the latter is more zoomed out.
Vice President-elect, Prof Yemi Osinbajo
1. Smile
In the old portrait, the Professor bared an award-winning smile, however, in the new portrait, the smile completely disappeared.
2. Photoshop
A few touches here and there with the help of Adobe Photoshop made the new portrait of the Vice President-elect, look very different from the old one. In the first portrait, he looked exactly like himself, while in the second portrait, he looked like a lot fresher.
3. Lips
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria had his lips open in the first portrait, obviously because of his smile, but in the new portrait, his lips were nearly-clenched and seemingly white-with-cold.
4. The ears as well
In the old portrait, Osinbajo’s left ear was totally amiss, gone, nowhere to be found, however, in the new portrait, the ears made a triumphant return.
