Fayose speaking through his representative, the Deputy Governor, Dr Kolapo Olusola, urged the caretaker chairmen to bring their experiences to work in running their councils and asked the chairmen to show him total loyalty.

Daily Trust quoted the governor saying: “You were appointed based on your proven integrity both in private and public offices. I want you to bring your experiences to bear in the service of the people by engineering rapid transformation and development at the grassroots. Nothing but the best is expected of you. It is hoped that you will not disappoint the state”.

The Ekiti state House of Assembly had last Friday given the governor permission to dissolve the councils and reconstitute new ones.

After disolving the councils, Fayose returned all former local government chairmen except the former caretaker chairman of Oye Local Government Area, who was replaced by Mr Oluwole Paul.

Fayose has come under criticisms for handing out food stuffs and other edibles to people in the state.

The All Progressive Congress(APC) often refers to the distribution of food stuff which has been tagged ‘stomach infrastructure’ as policies that threaten the development of Ekiti people but Fayose has repeatedly praised his policy.
