Former Minister Loses His N11 Million Wrist Watch To His Domestic Aide
A domestic staff of Nigeria’s former minister of foreign affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, 29-year old Paul Agbota, has been charged to court for allegedly stealing Akinyemi’s wrist watch.
According to The Nation, the wrist watch, valued at N11 million was stolen alongside other watches and luxury accessories worth N9 million.

Agbota is now facing a two -count charge of conspiracy and stealing at an Ikeja Magistrates ’ Court. He has however pleaded not guilty.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP ) Eranus Nnamonu, who is the prosecutor in the case, told the court that Agbota committed the offence on April 23 at 5 .30 pm at Akinyemi’s residence on Femi Deru Close, Opebi, Lagos.
Agbota, he said, had accomplices, who are currently on the run, that assisted him to steal the watch and others from Akinyemi. The wrist watch is a Rolex brand.

He affirmed that the offences contravened Sections 285 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Ruling on the case, Magistrate Abimbola Komolafe granted Agbota N 1 million bail with two sureties.
She also ordered that the sum of N50 , 000 be deposited with the court’ s deputy registrar, by the accused, as part of the bail conditions and he postponed the case till July 9, 2015.
