National Assembly Fracas: We’re Fighting For Nigeria’s Interest – Ekweremadu
The deputy Senate President of Nigerian,Ike Ekweremadu has insisted that the ongoing tension in the National assembly is in the interest of Nigeria.

Using his twitter handle, @Ike_Ekweremadu, the senator addressed the ongoing fight in the National Assembly.
He tweeted earlier today: “Dear Nigerians, please be rest assured that we are all fighting for your interest. We need your prayer and support for a better Nigeria”.
Session today was stopped for a few hours as members in the house through punches at each other over the nomination and election of principal officers in the national assembly.

Following the fracas today, Senate president moved the recess to July 21.
Ekweremadu also tweeted: The Adhoc committee on finance to address the National Assembly budget & To draft Legislative agenda, were inaugurated today.
He continued: “We will reconvene once the Ministerial list is ready.”

President Muhammudu Buhari is yet to appoint ministers but it is believed that a list is ready. The senate will screen and approve any senators nominated by the president.
