What Saraki Has To Say About Buhari’s Ministerial List

Senator Bukola Saraki has allayed fears that the suspension of plenary by the Senate is hampering the ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Senate president has assured Nigerians that the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly will resume plenary once the list is sent to it by President Buhari, PM News reports.

Speaking during the visit of the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Denys Gaver, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office, Saraki said the Senate would ensure that the break embarked on by it does not interfere with the business of governance.

“We are working and we are ready to reconvene any time to attend to any national assignment, including the confirmation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees, ” he said.

He reiterated the resolve of the Senate to support the administration of President Buhari in achieving success.

The Senate president asked for the assistance of the French government in tackling the security situation in the country.

In turn, the French ambassador reminded Saraki that the  international community had  high expectations on the current administration. He urged for cooperation between the Senate and the Buhari led administration.

Meanwhile, a group under the auspices of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation has accused Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara of fueling the current crisis rocking the National Assembly.

The group also extolled Bola Tinubu as a one who has contributed immensely to the political change currently witnessed in the country.
