Nigerians Are Awaiting APC’s Miraculous Promises – LP

The National Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, has said that Nigerians are anxiously waiting for the miracles the All Progressives Congress(APC) promised the masses, during their electioneering campaigns across the length and breadth of the country.

The LP scribe stated this, when asked to rate President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration since inception of office.

He said: “As true patriots and stakeholders in the democratic process, I know that the season of politicking is over and the season of policies and policing has commenced. So, I would say it is too early to rate him. But he started on a slow pace. He has no time for honeymoon.

“Nigerians are waiting for the miracles APC promised and it is not now, they should  advice us not to expect the miracles again.

“We have a watchdog duty to perform as Buhari administration undertakes the business of governance.

“It is my sincere desire that president Buhari succeeds in the task given to him because it goes without saying that a success for his administration is a success for all Nigerians, and for Nigeria herself.

He however, debunked the rumour making the rounds that smaller parties like LP may merge with the PDP ahead of the next general elections.

“I find it laughable that some people would try to classify Labour Party as a “small” party. It is not only just laughable; it is very erroneous.

“The rumour of an impending merger was started by mischievous persons who were unsure about the fate of the PDP in the wake of their loss at the polls.

“We have addressed this rumour before, and I now say it again the Labour Party has no intention of merging with any other party.

“We are confident about our identity as the foremost opposition party in Nigeria, and our purpose to offer credible and constructive criticism to the new administration,” he said.

It would be recalled that president Buhari have been heavily criticized by the opposition party over his inability to name minsters after over one month in office.
