The latest attack by Boko Haram militants on four villages in Borno state has took the total death toll of terrorists’ victims since Buhari became president to more than 625.
Recent reports from Borno state tell that in the latest attack, carried out by Boko Haram militants on Tuesday, at least 43 people from four villages were killed. “In Kilwa alone, they killed seven people, including the village head and left one seriously injured with a fracture on his leg,” told the press Sheriff Kulo, from Kilwa, adding that Boko Haram militants killed these people before stealing their food and cattle and then setting houses on fire.

“They then proceeded to Gwollam, Misala and Magaram, where they did the same thing. In all they killed 43,” told Sheriff Kulo to the press in Maiduguri, where he fled to alert the public on Boko Haram activities. “They opened fire on residents and in some cases they used knives to slaughter their victims.”

The Borno state police commissioner, Aderemi Padokun, confirmed his report, saying that “the gunmen raided these villages, shot dead their victims and in some cases slit their throats. They also carted away foodstuffs and livestock.”
Boko Haram militants carried out similar raid in the area on July 1, murdering 48 residents.
In a bid to tackle Boko Haram insurgency Muhammadu Buhari has appointed new service chiefs following the sacking of military service chiefs earlier today, Monday, July 13.
