“We’ll Not Disappoint Ekiti People” – Speaker
Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Pastor Kola Oluwawole, has reinstated the determination of the legislative arm of the government in the state to work hand-in-hand with the executive arm, led by Governor Ayodele Fayose, to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
In a statement signed by the special assistant on media to the speaker, Mr Stephen Gbadamosi; and made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti this weekend, the Speaker assured the people of the state that the legislators would implement laws that will bring meaningful socio-economic and infrastructural development to the state.

According to him,“Ekiti people voted for us on April 11, in expectation of new things and by the grace of God, the current 26 lawmakers have resolved to do their jobs well.
“We will not cheat the people, we will not cheat governor Ayodele Fayose; we will not wage war against Ekiti, we will not disappoint the people who voted for us”, Oluwawole pledged.
The lawmaker, who represents Moba Constituency 1, emphasized the PDP-dominated House of Assembly’s plan to be part of the drive that would bring about the desired development in the state.
It would be re-called that the 19 lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 7th Assembly had a frosty relationship with the PDP-led administration of Governor Fayose.
He said neither would the House be polarized nor would it bicker with the executive arm in the name of politics, noting that the bickering and face-off between the former legislators and the governor were responsible for the ‘war’ that was waged against the state.
“We are determined to join hands with the Fayose-led administration to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people”, he maintained.
Meanwhile, the Ekiti State House of Assembly has disclosed that it is working closely with the executive arm of the government to ensure the implementation of all its resolutions.
