D’Banj Embraces Rap Music

As part of the year-long activities to celebrate his 10th year anniversary in the Nigerian music industry, popular music star, D’Banj is embracing rap music.

The Kokomastwr has unveiled a rap competition for hip-hop heads.

The DB Records CEO made public the competition via a post on his website. He called on young rappers aspiring to“be the next rap star”  to visit the competition site where they will get information on how to participate.

The theme song of the competition is “The King Is Here.”

The winner will be rewarded with a chance to feature on a remix of the single alongside D’banj.

D’banj first came on the Nigerian music scene with his hit single Tongolo in 2005. The celebration of his 10th anniversary will climax on August 10, 2015 with the release of an album.

The visual EP has seven songs and videos. D’banj had been releasing one per week since July with the last one dropping on August 10.
