GOOD NEWS: Read Why Chief Judge Released 34 Prisoners In One Day
The chief judge of Ekiti state, Ayodeji Daramola has released 34 inmates who were awaiting trial in Ado Ekiti federal prisons, PM News reports
The judge was said to have ordered the release of the inmates when he visited the prison. The visit was part of the measures taken to check the issue of congestion in the prison.

He explained that the inmates, released had no case to answer from the ministry of justice and lamented the large number of inmates awaiting trial in the prison.
Mr Attar Mustapha, the controller of the prison advised the relatives of the released inmates not to reject them “so that frustration will not lead them to committing greater offence.’’
Mustapha advised religious groups, NGOs and other members of the public to come and organize workshops in the prison to keep them busy. He said some of them were just victims of circumstances and deserved to be empowered.

Sunday Ogundele, one of the freed inmates promised not to go back to the life of crime and thanked the chief judge for granting them their freedom.
Meanwhile, popular prophet, Destiny Onwudinjo of Heaven Divine Ministry in Shasha, Lagos who was sentenced to seven years imprisonment, committed suicide inside Kirikiri Prison.
