Photos: Osinbajo Attends Peace Mediation Summit In Addis Ababa
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, departed Abuja on Sunday, August 16, for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he represented President Muhammadu Buhari at a peace mediation summit on the situation in South Sudan.
Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant (media and publicity) to the vice president, in a statement explained that the summit will be on the platform of the Inter-Governmental Authority (IGAD).
IGAD Plus is the the regional trade group of eight African countries from the Horn of Africa, Nile Valley and the Great Lakes.
Other countries joining IGAD for this important peace effort include Nigeria, United States, China, United Nations, European Union, among others in the international community.

Meanwhile, the vice president recently stated that the federal government will not relent in its fight to root out corruption in the country.
