Ritual Or… Teenager Stabs Grandma To Death, Eats Her Heart

A 19-year-old has reportedly hacked his grandmother to death and then ate her heart while still inside her house.

According to a chilling report by Metro UK, night watchmen in the mountain village of Barangay Tapi in Kabankalan City, the Philippines, rushed to the house of an old lady, Olivia Rapel Jalaman, after the neighbours reported hearing screams coming from inside.

To their shock, the watchmen discovered the 85-year-old dead with her chest ripped open and her heart gone. Her grandson, Ruben, was still in the house.

The 19-year-old confessed to the police that he had hacked up his grandmother and then eaten her heart. He gave no reason other than that for him, it was a ‘trip’.

Police at Kabankalan station confirms that after being interrogated a number of times on why he had killed his grandmother, the teenager continued to give the same answer: “Trip ya lang” (it was a trip).

Ruben told the police chief superintendent, German Garbosa, that he had eaten the entire heart raw.

However, a local site, tempo.com.ph, reported on motivation of the grandson.

“The devil told me that it would give me extraordinary powers,” Ruben said. He added that his grandmother was a witch.
