Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has ordered the release of N180 million for the renovation of the office of the deputy governor which was built at the cost of N303 million 5 months ago.
While wasting so much on his deputy’s office, the governor also approved the termination of the employment of 2,620 sanitation workers whose monthly salary is N10,000.
This was made known by the state Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Mohammed Garba, who addressed journalists after the state’s weekly Executive Council Meeting.

He said the state government plans to start the recruitment exercise afresh in order to select diligent workers for quality service delivery.
The commissioner also disclosed that the state governor approved the sum of N12 million for renovation of a ruptured bridge in Yaryasa village in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of the state
Recently, the governor blamed his former boss, Ex-Governor Kwankwaso, for refusing to pay tuition and other affiliated fees to the tune of N3 billion to over 5,000 students sponsored abroad to study various disciplines.
