Celebrity Birthday: Asa is 33 years old

Nigeria's foremost soul singer Bukola Elemide is 33 years old today. The songbird has three successful studio albums under her belt, Asa (2007), Beautiful Imperfection (2010), and Bed of Stone (2014). Her debut album is considered to be one of the best Nigerian albums of this era.

 

Based in France, Asa is still very much in connection with her Nigerian roots. Her latest music video 'Eyo' is named after the popular Lagos masquerade and was shot in Lagos also.

Asa is set to be the maiden guest of Funmi Iyanda's new TV show. The award winning singer is currently in Los Angeles, Califirornia.
